Tumbling Classes

Our girls and boys tumbling classes offer skill progressions on floor tumbling, trampoline, and double-mini. As each level is passed, students receive a Certificate of Achievement. Self-discipline and organization are great side benefits of the concentration required to successfully perform the skills. Creativity occurs at the upper levels through the unique combination of skills.

Tumble: Basics ( Beginners Ages 6 & up)

Basics (First Level in the Rec tumbling curriculum):

Curriculum & skills needed to move to the next level. Athletes must acquire these skills in order to progress to next level and EXECUTE WITH GOOD TECHNIQUE. (Looking at hands, hands turned in, arms by our ears, toes pointed, straight legs, feet together.)


Floor:

  • Forward Roll/Straddle Roll  
  • Handstand Forward Roll
  • Cartwheel
  • Backroll
  • Bridge up
  • Bridge Kickover
  • Handstand Fall to Bridge (working stand up)
  • Bridge Down

Tramp:

  • 3 Stretch Jumps to freeze

Tumble: Level 1 ( Working Round-offs Ages 6 & up)

Level 1 (Second Level in the Rec tumbling curriculum):

Curriculum & skills needed to move to the next level. Athletes must acquire these skills in order to progress to next level and EXECUTE WITH GOOD TECHNIQUE. (Looking at hands, hands turned in, arms by ears, toes pointed, straight legs, feet together.)

  • Round off (RO)

Tumble: Level 2 ( Working Back Handsprings Ages 6 & up)

Level 2 (Third Level in the Rec tumbling curriculum):

Curriculum & skills needed to move to the next level. Athletes must acquire these skills in order to progress to next level and EXECUTE WITH GOOD TECHNIQUE. (Looking at hands, hands turned in, arms by our ears, toes pointed, straight legs, feet together.)

Level 4 (Fifth Level in the Rec tumbling curriculum):
